Lucas Roddick
His mother had taught herself how to read and write and taught her eldest son what she knew. Through her lessons, Lucas began to understand her love for books. When he was accepted into magical school, his parents cried for joy. Their son would live a better life. A life they never believed to be true. While studying at the school, a Professor took time out of his schedule and refined Lucas's reading and writing skills, strengthening his desire for books. Later, Lucas took his new found knowledge and helped refine his mother's skills and taught his father how to read and write his own name.
To this day, Lucas still shares that passion for books. After learning to read, Lucas decided to pay-it-forward and every summer away from school, he became the town's tutor and help teach those who weren't educated, who were illiterate to read and write. As he grew older, Lucas was still the same quiet hard-working man who loved books. However, after leaving school and returning to his small town, Lucas met a girl and fell in love.
Year later, Lucas is now the school Librarian at Salem Institute and holds his job dear to his heart. Having learned to read at the young age these students were, he understands the hardships people endure while in adolescents. A father to a young Mediwizard in training, Lucas has lived a proud life without any regrets.
