Let's see, when I was thirteen years old I had the misfortune to be diagnosed as an Empath. This basically means that I have to feel the emotions of everyone who is in the vicinity of me- which may sound cool, but it's not. I get lots of headaches and have to take special measures to control both my emotions and my magic, as both tend to go haywire at times if I don't.
My best friend Crin was my roommate all seven years while we were at Salem. Of course, we've had our fights- we actually didn't even talk for almost a year, but I don't know what I'd do without her. She's protected me so many times and fought so many battles that I don't even know how I could begin to thank her.
During my tenure at Salem, I had the fortune to be the Seeker for the Sal Salis Quidditch team. Although I didn't always catch the Snitch, each match was always interesting. There was was match, for instance, where Crin got hit by a Bludger, feel off her broom and landed on mine. That was definitely a memorable experience.
The summer following my graduation from Salem, my doctor's, Mac, fiance decided to write an expose which announced me to the world as an Empath. I ended up having to disappear for nearly six months due to the amount of attention the article received. People were constantly appearing on my family's doorstep, whether to write another article or to have me help them or to just see "the freak". I couldn't take it. It wasn't until nearly six month later that Mac showed up on my doorstep and brought me home.
