One of Connecticut's most prominent pureblood families, the Hopkins family is headed by Edgar Hopkins III. His older son, Edgar IV was passed over for the patriarchy in favor of younger son, Charles. At the time of Charles's death the position will revert back to Edgar V.

Charles married a pureblood woman named Julia and they had four children, Abigail
("Abby"), Charles II, Emma, and Laura. Charles II died in infancy and at the time of Charles I's death the patriarchy will go to Edgar IV's son, Edgar V.

Abigail married prominent pureblood Howard Winslow V and they had three children, Annabelle, Charlotte and Howard VI.

Emma married a muggleborn named Chris Morrow, to her mother's total dismay.

Laura married Grant Pickard VI.

Edgar IV had two sons, Edgar V and Stanley.
